Mentoring and developing professionals in the industry is an honour and a privilege. Fitness instructors, wellness coaches and personal trainers will have the opportunity to shadow and be debriefed by a Change Coaching Australia coach. Students will be mentored in areas including but not limited to: fitness assessment, exercise prescription, exercise programming, fitness instruction, gym supervision, lifting techniques, spotting techniques, use of pin loaded and free weights, gym etiquette, client liaison, referral and wellness coaching principles.
My name is Tom and I am a 4th year Exercise Physiology & Rehabilitation student at the University of Canberra. Sarah invited me to do an internship with her at Change Coaching Australia during my 3rd year, and I completed over 150 hours of work with Sarah during this time. Sarah introduced me to a wide range of clients that has signed up to the program for different reasons. This was my first exposure to the rehabilitation scene, and provided me with some good experiences that I can take forward into the future with me in my profession.
